Impactful Directors of 2023: Round Table Conference and Student Interaction Report
The Department of visual communication, SRM Ramapuram, in collaboration with “Little Talks” organized a movie directors’ round table conference which was held on 19.12.23 in gallery hall III. This event brought together a diverse group of accomplished filmmakers to discuss and share their insights into the dynamic landscape of the film industry. The event also included a unique interaction segment with the students aspiring to enter the world of cinema.

engaged in a thought-provoking panel discussion, covering a range of topics such as storytelling techniques, emerging technologies in filmmaking, and the impact of global events on the industry.
Students had the opportunity to engage with the directors through a lively Q&A session. This allowed them to seek advice, gain insights into the directors’ experiences, and learn about navigating the challenges of entering the film industry. The event facilitated networking between students and directors during breaks and informal sessions.The student interaction segment added a dynamic and educational dimension to the event, reinforcing its role as a catalyst for exchange of knowledge and industry growth.
The event was successfully conducted and co-ordinated by the film club coordinators and members in the guidance of Ms. M S Sindhuja, Asst Professor and Mr. D Saravanan, Asst Professor, Visual communication.
