INFRASTRUCTURAL IMPROVEMENTS LEAD TO HIGHER GDP RANKINGS AND INCREASED CONFIDENCE

“India’s achievements over the preceding 20 years rise to the fifth position in the GDP rankings largely due to infrastructural improvements as well as a discernible improvement in ambition and confidence” said Mr. Badrinath Kidambi, CEO of Planytics, when she addressed the gathering at the National Level Management Meet, “QUEST 24” conducted by Faculty of Management, SRM institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram campus on 22nd February 2024.

The National Management Meet commenced with an inspiring thought of the day, setting the tone for a day filled with enlightenment and introspection, followed by a captivating classical dance performance that added a touch of cultural richness to the event.

Driving Force is what which makes the thing alive from inside, Dr. Ramanathan, the convener echoed this sentiment, underscoring the essence of teamwork by stating that a team transcends mere individuals.

Dr. R. Arulmoli, Head of the department-MBA, during his welcome addres explained the importance of participative learning and how it helps in gaining real-time experience.

Dr. C. Sundar, Dean (Management) of the college, took pride in calling the management meet a family event. He praised the alumna who are glittering in various fields and urged the gathering to go for networking.

Mr. Ravi, alumni of the college expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the professors and esteemed guests for the opportunities they bestowed upon him. Reflecting on his return to SRM, he emphasized the profound pleasure of revisiting the institution where his journey towards personal and professional development began.

Mr. Jayaraman, speaking on behalf of Business Standard, emphasized the value of learning. He highlighted the company’s release of the B-Smart App, which was designed with Business Standards in mind. Jayaraman went on to discuss a recent case study competition that the organization had, emphasizing innovation, problem-solving, and critical thinking. With 466 entries from 76 B-Schools, 324 students answered five difficult questions in this highly competitive competition. Jayaraman remarked on the jury’s challenge in selecting the best applicant, given the stringent selection procedure. With great pride, he declared that Anjali Singh and her team from the SRMIST Ramapuram Campus had won the third place, demonstrating their remarkable achievement against fierce opposition.

Chief Guest of the event Mr. Badrinath Kidambi, CEO of Planytics, shared his wealth of knowledge in supply chain strategy, technology, and Madras startup incubation.  In his speech, he explained the transformation that happened over the decades in business.

Quest’24 had varieties of competitions including Best manager, Adzap, Business quiz,  start-up,  IPL auction and corporate walk . Hundreds of students from various colleges participated. Attractive prizes were given to the winners and runners.
