Objectives :

  • To educate students about the importance of knowledge in tax and budget
  • To teach budgeting and other elementary financial literacy skills to young learners.
  • To understand the concepts and importance of direct tax and the reason behind imposing it.

Introduction :

The Finance Club of Flaming Falcons, Students Association of Department of Commerce, organizes a special seminar on direct tax – Changes in Budget by Ms.to educate student about changes in budget on the basis of direct tax.

Overview :

The session commenced by 11:30am. Mr. Vishal hosted the session and the welcome address was delivered by Mr.Arun Krishna, The guest was felicitated and honored by our esteemed faculty. Ms.R. Madhumitha, a Chartered Accountant with over a decade of experience. Currently holding key roles in the Chengalpattu District Branch of SIRC, she also serves as a faculty member for CA Foundation and Intermediate exams since 2015.

Recognized for her excellence, she received the Best Branch Award in 2022. She is a proficient professional and an active contributor to social causes through her membership in the Lions Club of Chennai Chitlapakkam East. She addressed the gathering and shared her thoughts on interim budget and changes in slab rate. She explained about the old regime and new regime. The attendees were interactive and enlightened with profound thoughts and the students gained awareness about the process and importance of budgeting. Conclusion :

The session highlighted various aspects about the process of preparing a budget and importance of budgeting. Students were educated about the opportunities and benefits of studying abroad. The seminar ended a success with the overall cooperation and involvement.
