Ist Year Orientation Programme
The First Year Orientation Programme for Freshers of Visual Communication, Film Tech and JMC was hosted by the School of Media Studies, Faculty of Science and Humanities at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus, on July 9, 2024. The event featured Mr. Jacki, a distinguished Art Director, as the chief guest. The program began with a warm welcome to Mr. Jacki, followed by a heartfelt address from Ms. P. Yuvarani, Programme Coordinator of Viscom. Dr. V. Prabakaran, Head of Media Studies, then delivered a felicitation speech. Mr. Jacki captivated the audience with his inspiring words, leaving the students delighted and motivated.
After Mr. Jacki’s speech, an engaging interactive session ensued, fostering insightful discussions on Art Direction and the Film Industry. The orientation served as a pivotal platform for students to broaden their understanding and gain valuable insights. The event culminated with a vote of thanks from Mr. S. Shanmuganathan, Programme Coordinator of Film Tech. The event was coordinated by Ms. P.S. Padmavathy, Ms. Sindhuja Sivaji and Mr. Gowtham, Assistant Professors from School of Media Studies.
