| To Integrate Freshers into their College life:
The main objective of this program was to provide an overview of the college’s history, mission, values, and culture. To help new students get comfortable in their new environment. It encourages networking and relationship-building among new members. |

Synopsis of the Event
- Event started with Tamil Thai valthu by the students of college of Science and Humanities
Welcome Address
Mrs.Shrestha Verma, Assistant Professor, Department of Accounting & Finance(A&F), gave an Introduction about the resource person and read the resource person’s profile.
Resource Person’s speech:
Mr.C.Muthu Palaniyaappan began his speech by giving an overall summary of what his speech was about.He then began his speech by advising the freshers to make use of their college life.He motivated each and every one of them to select the fields that they are interested in like CA.He gave various resourceful information about College life and how to make best use of it.He concluded his speech by Wishing them all the best for their future.
Events:
Event-1 (Bingo Board):
The students were separated into groups and a person from each side would compete to complete the board of logos. The person who loses the initial round would not be given a chance and the winner can guess and strike the logos to get Bingo.
Event-2 (Draw it,Find it):
5 members from each team would participate. 1 will draw and the Other 4 will guess it. The winners will be announced based on the number of right guesses.
Event-3 (bottle flip):
A riddle would be asked and the person who knows the answer will come and flip the bottle up to answer the question. No more than one from each team can guess at a time.
The team with the most right answers are the winners.
Introduction to International Affairs of SRM:
Dr.Abraham Benjamin Samuel, Assistant Director , International relations , began his speech by explaining to them the meaning of International Relations.His speech was about the International Immersion Programmes that takes place in our campus.He explained the benefits of such programmes and shared a few information about the programmes from the previous years.He motivated students to think about their future studies abroad.
Outcome:
The event resulted in beginning of building relationships with other students and staffs. Students felt comfortable asking their orientation leaders for help in the future. They learnt the culture and traditions of our college. Students will understand what life is like as a college student. Overall, the event successfully helped the freshers to learn a lot about our college structure and they were motivated to participate in events which improved their courage
