Summary of the Event:
The First Year Orientation Programme for freshers of MCA (General and Gen-AI) was hosted by the Department of Computer Science and Applications (MCA), Faculty of Science and Humanities at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram.
The event commenced with a warm welcome for the esteemed resource person, Mr. Madan Kartheesan, Technical Leader at Object Automation Systems Solutions Inc. Mr. Madan Kartheesan delivered an insightful presentation on the importance of Artificial Intelligence.
The Head of the Department delivered an insightful overview of the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program, highlighting its comprehensive curriculum and the vast opportunities it offers in the field of Computer Science.
Dr. D. Kanchana Program Coordinator explained about the rules and regulations of the institution to the first year students. She also explained the structure of syllabus and its courses.
Class Coordinators presented about the curriculum, attendance, and other aspects of co-curricular activities.
The guest speaker talked on wide placement opportunities and told to get prepared for the upcoming placement drives. Also, he enhanced by highlighting the placement process in 4 steps

He asked the students to refer the Quantitative Aptitude book written by R.S.Agarwal and told to solve the problems given in the book. Many students actively participated in the session.
