Summary of the Event:
The First Year Orientation Programme for freshers of MCA (General and Gen-AI) was hosted by the Department of Computer Science and Applications (MCA), Faculty of Science and Humanities at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram.
Dr. D. Kanchana, Assistant Professor MCA presented the welcome address and he welcomed the chief guest of today’s function and introduced the guest to the audience.
The event commenced with a warm welcome for the esteemed resource person, Mr. T. Saravanan, Sr. Test Lead. Elait Technologies, Chennai. Mr. T. Saravanan delivered an insightful presentation on the importance of career opportunities.
Mr.T.Saravanan started the session with a brief introduction about employability ratio and present scenario of industries and scopes available in Placement and career development. He then gave an introduction about placement and career opportunites and technical skill preparation. He explained about soft skill development-communication skills, problem solving abilities, team work and collaboration and presentation skills. His address continued with a detailed description of industry knowledge. He added about Skills required for placement preparations like resume building, mock interviews, company research, personal branding. He concluded the session with a brief introduction about the following concepts

🔹Industry knowledge
Then the entire session was opened to the audience for clarification of their doubts. Mrs M Divya proposed vote of thanks for the intellectual address by the guest.
