Inaugural function
for the 2024 -2025 batch on 29th July 2024

- Dr. C. Sundar- Dean FOM. Dean Sir welcomed the august gathering.
In his speech highlighted about 17 years of successful journey of FOM and the recent NAAC A++ grade will benefit the students in attracting campus placements from MNC’s. He also highlighted about the Triangle aspect in the perspective of either students getting Placement offer, going for higher studies and getting into Entrepreneurship.
In his speech also highlighted about Student diversity, Women Empowerment, 85% placement of the outgoing batch, campus life and various club activities which will kindle students’ interest in exploring their MBA Programme at SRM.
- Dr. K. V. Narayanan Associate Director in his speech thanked the parents and students for choosing SRMIST Ramapuram and he highlighted about Warren Buffet’s quote on Minimalistic Approach to be highly focussed and to explore opportunities in their student life.
- Mr. Jyothi Basu, Dean Placements in his speech highlighted about to have curiosity mindset amongst the students and to hone their networking skills, pursuing Internships and certifications to build their profile.
- Mr. Jayaraman DGM (Southern Region), Business Standard welcomed the guests and he highlighted about his 10 years association with FOM, SRMIST Ramapuram and spoke about how the department is creating the future business leaders.
- MBA Alumni Ms. Gayathri Sr. Solution Architect, Walmart India (2009-11 batch) thanked the management and felt it was proud moment. She advised the students to explore their interests, participate in more competitions, to hone their networking skills and highlighted how the faculties will guide them in academics and placements.
- BBA Alumni Ms. Swathi Sri, Amazon Web Services (2020-23 batch) highlighted about how SRM gave opportunity to explore her career and she advised the students to give equal weightage to both Academics and Extra Curricular Activities.
- Dr. N. Sethuraman Chief Director in his speech appreciated the students and parents for choosing SRMST Ramapuram and insisted about how the MBA curriculum is changed regularly according to the industry requirements and how the university is shaping the personality of the students to be a complete Management Professionals.
- Keynote address by Ms. Vidhya Prabhu, Associate Director- Global Delivery, IBM cloud Tech., Kyndryl India and conducted a small activity to the students and she insisted the students to have Passion, Purpose, and Goals and, she highlighted that SRM University is one of the premium University in the country and students should have a mix of Knowledge, Attitude and Skills. She also insisted the students to be successful in career, 50% is Individuality and 50% is Institute and advised the students that Success should be decided by skill and Talent and every decision taken in life should be yours to keep the ego away.

Started his speech with MS Dhoni’s famous quote, Follow the Process and Believe the Process and highlighted about the importance of Communication Skills and improving the English Language as it is a universal medium of official communication and advised the students that “You are the Brand- You’ve to Sell Yourself and students should be industry ready in their MBA student life.
