Summary of the event

The objective of Bug Blast Club’s Code Fest event is

  • To improve participants’ coding skills, particularly in debugging
  • To foster a spirit of competition and collaboration among students
  • To provide practical, hands-on experience in identifying and fixing code errors

The Code Fest was structured into two primary levels, each designed to test and enhance different aspects of debugging skills.

  • Level 1: Basic Debugging
  • Level 2: Advanced Debugging

Level 1 involves simple debugging tasks that involve identifying and fixing common syntax errors, logical errors, and runtime errors in given code snippets. Level 2 involves complex debugging tasks that require a deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and code optimization. The objective is to enhance the student’s problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Successfully finding and fixing bugs can build students’ confidence in their coding abilities and problem-solving skills. After completing level 1, 16 students were selected for level 2 among 46. At the end of the event, winners were announced and the participants were appreciated.

Participants significantly improved their debugging skills, gaining valuable insights into effective problem-solving techniques. The event helped build participants’ confidence in handling coding challenges and fostered a competitive spirit. The event has set a strong foundation for future initiatives aimed at developing technical competencies among students.

Total number of participants: 46
