On August 14, 2024, from 12:05 PM to 1:20 PM, the Department of Visual Communication, Faculty of Science and Humanities at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus, organized an Alumni Interaction session in Classroom 601, 6th floor of the PG Dental Block. The event featured Mr. Nishanth, a YouTuber and Assistant Executive Producer from the 2017-20 batch, who shared his experiences and insights with the students. Mr. Nishanth provided valuable advice on navigating the industry and leveraging the skills gained during their time at SRM. The interactive session allowed students to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of the practical aspects of working in media and communication. The Alumni Interaction session was highly beneficial for the students, offering them a chance to connect with a successful alumnus and gain inspiration for their future careers. The session was convened by Dr. V. Prabakaran, Head of Media Studies, and co-convened by Ms. P. Yuvarani, Programme Coordinator for Visual Communication. The staff coordinator for the event was Mr. B. Saravanan, Assistant Professor of Visual Communication. The event reinforced the importance of networking and continuous learning in the dynamic field of visual communication and film technology.
