On August 31, 2024, the School of Media Studies, Department of Visual Communication & Film Technology at SRMIST, Ramapuram Campus, in association with Vrutsa Entertainment, hosted a grand Movie First-Look Release event at the TRP Auditorium. The event featured a star-studded lineup, including Arjun Das, Shivathmika Rajasekhar, TSK Saravanan, Sabarish, Poovaiyar, and D. Imman along with other notable cast and crew members. It began with an electrifying performance by the Boys Band, which set an energetic tone for the event. The distinguished guests and production team from Gembrio Pictures were welcomed with a special audiovisual presentation, and the 1st-year Visual Communication students presented unique, handcrafted mementos to commemorate the occasion.
The main attraction of the event was the grand reveal of the motion poster and title of the movie BOMB, which was met with excitement and enthusiasm from the audience. The celebrities took part in an engaging interactive session, where they shared insights about the film and their experiences working on it. The event culminated in a dynamic dance performance by Groove 8, the dance club of Visual Communication, which left the audience in high spirits. The event was convened by Dr. V. Prabakaran, Head of Media Studies, and co-convened by Ms. P. Yuvarani, Programme Coordinator for Visual Communication, and Mr. Shanmuganathan, Programme Coordinator for Film Technology. The Movie First-Look Release event for BOMB was a resounding success, offering attendees an unforgettable experience and providing students with a valuable platform to showcase their talents.
