“Aerial Artistry” Workshop on Drone Camera.
The Department of Visual Communication and Film Technology, Faculty of Science and Humanities at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus, organized a Drone Workshop “Aerial Artistry” on 10th September 2024, in the Preview Theater, 6th floor of PG Dental Block and was attended by final year B.Sc. Visual Communication students, First Year M.Sc. Visual Communication students. The workshop featured by Mr.Eshwar.R, Drone Pilot & Cinematographer in NPIX Production, who shared his knowledge on Drone technology. The workshop covered a range of topics including flight training, aerial videography and photography, safety protocols and regulations. The students also had hands-on experience with drone in indoor and outdoor space, they gained more knowledge and had a best practice. Hands-on Drone flight training was a mastering the skills of drone flight, navigation, and control on air were a challenging for students. The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where students gained inputs about the technique done in the industry.
The event was convened by Dr. V. Prabakaran, Head of Media Studies, and co-convened by Ms. P. Yuvarani, Programme Coordinator for Visual Communication. The staff coordinators for the event Ms. B.K. HariPriya, Assistant Professor of Visual Communication. This workshop provided an excellent opportunity for the students to enhance their skills and gain valuable insights into the field of real-world drone technology.
