Quality Assurance Cell in association with National Service Scheme in association with Department of Computer Applications organized “Wellness Foundation for Freshers” from 27-8-2024 to 29-8-2024. The Heartfulness program was initiated and organized by the Department of Computer Science and Applications, Faculty of Science and Humanities. This initiative aligns with our commitment to social responsibility, student development, and community engagement.

Inaugural Function
The program began with an invocation.
Prof. Dr. J. Dhilipan, VP Admin & HoD of CSA welcomed everyone and emphasized the importance of understanding how to handle stress and improve daily life.
Dr. R. Renugadevi, IQAC Coordinator, FSH, introduced the Guest Speaker, Mr. Paramasamy, District Registrar (Retired), Heartfulness Institute, Chennai.
The resource person, Mr. Paramasamy, delivered a talk focusing on a holistic approach to health and inner wellness. He emphasized positive thinking, relieving stress and anxiety by regulating the mind while focusing attention on the heart using simple Heartfulness Meditation techniques.
Day 1: Mrs. Malika Paramasamy and Mr. Sreenivasan handled the sessions. The students enjoyed brain exercises and simple body movements to enhance body agility. The Heartfulness meditation technique with relaxation was followed by a meditation session.
Dr. Sathish Kumar Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce, delivered the vote of thanks.
Day 2:
The students who participated today were given a practical experiential session of rejuvenation by removing the negativity from the mind. They enjoyed a feeling of lightness of the mind, thus promoting positivity, correct thinking, right understanding, thus enabling them to face life’s situations with clarity and right decision . It will be useful in focusing on their studies for a bright future ahead of them.
