Profile of Vinod Senthil T
With over 15 years of experience in the field of cyber security, I am the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at FunnelStory, an online marketing platform that helps businesses grow their online presence and revenue. I am responsible for developing and implementing the company’s overall security strategy, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, and leading the incident response team. I am also the founder and Managing Director of digiALERT and infySEC, two successful companies that provide cyber security consulting, training, and solutions to clients across various industries and domains. I have a strong background in both technical and management roles, and I have worked with several Fortune 500 companies, such as Symantec, RR Donnelley, and Dell, to help them protect their critical assets and data from cyber threats. I have also been a speaker, author, and advisor on various cyber security topics and events, such as HackXploit, MindBend, Hackintosh, and the World’s Largest and Longest IT Security Marathon. My core competencies include vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, security audit, security product implementation, security strategy, compliance, and incident response. My mission is to raise awareness and educate people and organizations about the importance and best practices of cyber security in the digital era.
SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:
Dr. J. Dhilipan, VP-Admin & Head (CSA) welcomed the gathering to the session. He highlights the benefits of Studying Cyber Security as Specialization Course. VP-Admin stated the issues and challenges in Cyber Security. He added that IT industry needs many skilled persons in cyber security. Finally, he concludes that students should equip themselves by attending various workshops and seminars
Dean (E & T) felicitated the gathering. He appreciated VP-Admin (CSA) for launching the COE. He added that there is lot of scope in Cyber Security. Dean (E&T) shared about various Cyber threats. He told that everyone should have awareness to know the difference between original and duplicate website to avoid hacking of mobile devices. Mrs. R. Priyadarshini & Mrs. V. Jennifer, Assistant Professor, Department of CSA introduced the chief guests respectively.
Chief Guest Address
Mr. Santhosh Challuvadi highlighted that there is an opportunity for R & D in cyber security. He told about various tools and technologies used in cyber security. Resource person enhanced the participants knowledge by highlighting that every domain needs security. He added that students should give a deep dive in cyber security. Finally, he concluded by highlighting the importance of cyber security.
Mr. Vinod Senthil started by explaining a real incident of cyber threat. Mr. Vinoth quoted the statement ‘Prevention is better than cure’ to secure the mobile devices before anyone hacked it. Resource person highlighted the techniques used to secure mobile devices. The speaker told to avoid giving debit or credit card information in online shopping, ticket booking and so on. Finally, he told that there are many opportunities in cyber security discipline.
The students actively participated and raised many queries at the end of the session. Chief Guests, VP-Admin, Dean (E & T) launched the Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security. Dr. N. Krishnamoorthy, Assistant Professor, Department of MCA proposed the Vote of Thanks.

SDG 17 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure): The event is Collaborated with other company and commit to sharing best practice on the SDGs. Launched a Center of Excellence in a specific domain by signing with the SDG Accord and make a formal commitment to playing your part in meeting the SDGs. Work to improve global partnerships through an internationalisation strategy. Create SDG initiatives that benefit third world countries. Encourage and promote effective public, public-private and civil society partnerships through community outreach initiatives. Work with the local community on regional sustainability action plans.
