SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS MAPPING:
OUTCOME OF THE EVENT BASED ON SDG:
The innovation club event gave an oppurtunity to the students to expose their innovative talent in poster designing and also this event achieved surprising outcomes, directly supporting multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• SDG 4 (Quality Education):
Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.Implementing Concise and impactful language communicates the importance of quality education and the event contributes to SDG 4.
SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities):
Sustainable Development Goal 11 (SDG 11) focuses on making cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient, and sustainable. Several themes were given for poster making and one among them was healthy life style.Designing a poster that aligns with SDG 11 can play a crucial role in raising awareness and promoting actions for sustainable urban development.
Here’s how a poster design can satisfy this goal:
• Sustainable Diets: A diet focused on plant-based, organic, and locally sourced foods reduces the carbon footprint of food production and consumption, decreasing urban environmental degradation. Lower meat consumption and reliance on industrial farming directly contribute to reducing pollution and resource strain in cities.
• Mindful Living: The principles of yoga promote mindfulness, which often translates into conscious consumption. This can encourage more sustainable lifestyle choices, such as reducing waste, limiting single-use plastics, and supporting eco-friendly products and services.
