“Photography workshop at Maharishi Vidya Mandir”

The F8 Foto club from the School of Media Studies, Department of Visual Communication at the SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, conducted a workshop on Photography and its basics at Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Mangadu on 05.10.2024 from 10AM to 12:30PM.The workshop was attended by about 150 students from Class 11.
The students were given insights about the concept of photography, the types of photography, types of cameras, the exposure triangle, importance of lighting and the types of lenses used along with their specific purposes. Students were given a chance to get hands – on experience with a camera and were taught how to operate and manually change the settings of a camera. The F8 Foto Club also instilled the process of commencing a photography club at the school. Students got the opportunity to learn, interact and experience handling a camera through this enriching and engaging session.
The workshop was successfully conducted by the student coordinators – S. Diya ( II Year, Viscom ), Sai Manikandan ( II Year, Viscom ), Akshara ( II Year, Viscom ) and Yogeswaran J ( II Year, Viscom ) under the guidance of Staff Coordinator – Ms. Sindhuja Sivaji ( Asst. Prof., Viscom ), Convener – Dr. V. Prabhakaran ( Head, Media Studies ) and Co-Convener – Ms. P. Yuvarani ( Programme Coordinator, Viscom )
