SRM Institute of Science and Technology Hosts International Hybrid Conference

Chennai, December 14, 2024 – The Department of English and other Foreign Languages, along with the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus, successfully organized a two-day international hybrid conference titled “Voices Unbound: Exploring New Frontiers in English Language, Literature, and Psychology” on December 12th and 13th, 2024. The conference witnessed remarkable participation and engagement across diverse academic and geographical spheres.

The conference served as a dynamic platform for scholars, researchers, and academicians to engage in meaningful discussions and exchange innovative ideas in the interdisciplinary fields of language, literature, and psychology. The event recorded a total of 245 registrations, reflecting substantial participation and significant contributions to fresh academic discourses.

A total of 191 online and 29 offline registrations were received for paper presentations. Presenters participated from various regions across the country as well as from international locations such as Uzbekistan and Syria, contributing a global perspective to the discussions. SRM IST itself made a noteworthy contribution with 31 presentations.

The conference featured 2 offline presentation sessions and 17 online sessions, where a total of 19 national session chairs, including plenary talks, and 1 international session chair lent their expertise and insights, enriching the discourse with diverse perspectives.

The event also showcased 2 national and 2 international keynote speakers who delivered impactful addresses, inspiring the participants with their profound knowledge. These sessions provided a wealth of information and motivated attendees to delve deeper into their research interests.

Notable engagement metrics were achieved, including 455 YouTube views and 125 registrations for publication. These figures underscore the widespread reach and academic influence of the conference.

The event successfully fostered a vibrant exchange of ideas, promoting academic collaboration and innovation across countries. The overwhelming responses and intellectual contributions from participants added novelty and diversity to the fields of language, literature, and psychology.
