Workshop on “Credit Scoring & Financial Analytics”
The Faculty of Management at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, organized a one-day workshop on “Credit Scoring & Financial Analytics” on 24th October 2024. Mr. Kamal Kishore, Co-Founder of Skilled Grad, Chennai, led the session, focusing on credit risk assessment, the role of credit scores in decision-making, and the use of financial analytics in managing portfolios.
The workshop included a group discussion where students raised questions on credit scoring, followed by hands-on exercises in financial modelling and analysis. Case studies provided real-world insights into how financial institutions use credit scoring models for loan approvals.
The session concluded with a Q&A, where students explored career opportunities in credit risk and analytics. Feedback indicated high satisfaction with the practical orientation of the workshop.
Thanks to the support of Dean Dr. C. Sundar, HOD Dr. R. Arulmoli, and program convenors Dr. V. Sivakamy and Dr. K. Priya, the workshop successfully equipped students with essential skills for careers in finance and analytics.
