EVENT REPORT: The School of Media Studies, Department of Visual Communication at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, organized an enriching Alumni Interaction session on 9th December 2024 at the Preview Theatre, PG Dental Block. The session featured Mr. S. Kamalesh Arvind, a distinguished alumnus from the Batch of 2017-2020, currently serving as Senior Social Media Specialist at Echovme and an accomplished ad filmmaker. The event, held from 12:00 PM to 1:20 PM, provided students with invaluable insights into the dynamic field of media and communication.
Mr. Kamalesh Arvind shared his expertise on key topics, including search engine optimization, content creation strategies, designing, cinematography, and the nuances of ad filmmaking. He also recounted his journey into the industry, offering practical tips on securing internships and establishing a career in the media domain. The session was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. V. Prabakaran, Head of Media Studies, as Convenor, and Ms. P. Yuvarani, Programme Coordinator of Visual Communication, as Co-convenor. The interactive session equipped students with valuable industry knowledge, inspiring them to pursue their creative and professional goals.
