On January 10, 2025, the Department of Visual Communication at SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Ramapuram, organized a Photo Walk at the 10th Tamil Nadu International Balloon Festival (TNIBF) in Thiruvidanthai, Chennai. The festival served as an incredible platform for second-year students to hone their outdoor photography skills. Capturing the vibrant colors of hot air balloons against picturesque landscapes, the students applied advanced techniques in composition and lighting while showcasing their creativity and presence of mind.
The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Convenor Dr. V. Prabakaran, Head of Media Studies, and Co-convenor Ms. P. Yuvarani, Programme Coordinator of Visual Communication. Staff coordinators Ms. Sindhuja Sivaji and Mr. K. Akash provided on-site support, helping students explore professional methods of visual storytelling. The immersive experience left students inspired, equipped with practical knowledge, and ready to excel in future endeavors.
