SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:
The Aari Embroidery Workshop was conducted on 30th August 2024 at Block -7, BMS Block, Sewing Lab with the aim of providing participants with a hands-on experience in this intricate and beautiful form of embroidery. The workshop was attended by I Year B.Sc Students.
Workshop Highlights:
- Aari Embroidery Techniques: Participants were introduced to the basic stitches and techniques used in Aari embroidery, including the chain stitch, backstitch, and filling stitches.
- Pattern Design: Participants learned how to create their own embroidery patterns, focusing on floral designs and geometric shapes.
- Project Demonstration: The Resource person demonstrated a complex Aari embroidery project, showcasing the intricate details and techniques involved. During the practical session, attendees were divided into groups of five. Each group had 15 minutes to demonstrate the stitches allowing participants to apply the skills.
- Hands-On Practice: Participants had ample opportunity to practice Aari embroidery under the guidance of the instructor.
- Feedback and Evaluation: Participants provided feedback on the workshop, sharing their experiences and suggestions for improvement.
