OBJECTIVE OF THE EVENT: To gain insight into the production process of Britannia’s baked goods and biscuits, including the stages of production, quality control, and packaging methods. Exploring the role of automation, robotics, and advanced technologies used in the plant, and how they enhance production efficiency and product consistency and to observe the quality control systems in place at the plant and understand how Britannia ensures the high standards of its products.

SYNOPSIS OF THE EVENT:

On the morning of the industrial visit to the Britannia Oragadam plant, 50 students, accompanied by two faculty members, arrived at the plant by 10:15 a.m. The visit began with an informative session led by one of the plant’s employees, who provided a detailed explanation of the production processes involved in making Britannia’s products. As the students toured the facility, they observed firsthand the various stages of production, from raw material handling to packaging, and learned about the advanced technologies and machinery used to maintain efficiency and quality. The visit was an insightful learning experience for the students, giving them a deeper understanding of the manufacturing processes behind the well-known brand’s products.
