The objective of the Event

The objective of an outreach program to Tansowa Atharavu Illam is to provide food, improve the well-being of the residents, encourage local volunteers, students, and organizations to participate in supporting the illam, building a stronger sense of community responsibility, develop long-term initiatives that ensure continuous support and encouragement to take fundraising efforts by future generations towards needy people.

Synopsis of the Event

• The event started on 23.02.2025, 10.00 am to 01.00 pm by all faculties and Bioconsortium club student coordinators of the Department of Biotechnology.
• Sc and M. Sc Biotechnology students have attended the event.

Key Highlights

• Students engaged in discussions about hygienic and safety measures, sharing simple yet essential health practices to promote well-being among the residents.
• Students interacted with the elderly residents, listening to their life experiences and learning valuable social well-being.
• Students actively participated in serving food, ensuring that the residents were comfortable and well-fed.
• Before lunch, a collective prayer was offered, where the elderly expressed their blessings for the students, faculty, and institution.
• The visit created an emotional connection, making students reflect on the importance of empathy and social responsibility.
• The event concluded with a group photo, capturing moments of service and togetherness.
