The School of Media Studies, Department of Visual Communication, SRM IST Ramapuram, organized an engaging session titled “Chromatic Wonders: Exploring the Science of Colors” on February 18, 2025, from 12:05 PM to 01:20 PM at the Preview Theatre, 6th Floor, PG Dental Block. The session featured Mr. G. Navaneetharkrishann, South Indian Regional Manager, Camlin KOKUYO, who provided valuable insights into fine arts and the significance of colors in creative expression. He explained the role of colors in visual storytelling and artistic techniques, giving students a deeper understanding of color science and its impact.

The event also included a hands-on training session where students explored newly introduced art materials from Camlin KOKUYO. The resource person demonstrated their applications, guiding students on innovative techniques. Additionally, a stall showcased the latest art materials, allowing students to experiment and express their creativity. The participants enthusiastically engaged in coloring and painting activities, utilizing the new materials and displaying their artistic talents. The event was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Convenor Dr. V. Prabakaran, Head/ Media Studies, Co-Convenor Ms. P. Yuvarani, Programme Coordinator/ Viscom, and Staff Coordinators Dr. D.
