The School of Media Studies, Department of Visual Communication, SRM IST Ramapuram, organized an Industrial Visit to Jaya TV for II-year Viscom students on February 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Palayakkaran St, Kalaimagal Nagar, Ekkatuthangal, Chennai. The visit aimed to provide students with hands-on exposure to the television industry, offering them insights into the functioning of a leading media house.
During the visit, students actively engaged in witnessing live programs, shows, and the overall television production process. They had the opportunity to observe behind-the-scenes activities, including camera handling, lighting arrangements, set designs, and technical control room operations. The interaction with media professionals enriched their understanding of broadcasting, editing, and live telecasting. The Industrial Visit to Jaya TV was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Convenor Dr. V. Prabakaran, Head/ Media Studies, Co-Convenor Ms. P. Yuvarani, Programme Coordinator/ Viscom, and Staff Coordinators Ms. P. S. Padmavathy and Ms. B. K. Haripriya, ensuring a well-structured and insightful learning experience for the students.
