The School of Media Studies, Department of Visual Communication & Film Technology, SRM IST Ramapuram, in association with ரீங்காரம் – A Viscom Music Club, organized an engaging session titled “Echoes of Imagination: Crafting Visual Narratives in Lyrics” on February 28, 2025, from 12 noon to 1Pm at the Preview Theatre, 6th Floor, PG Dental Block.The session featured Mr. Viveka, a renowned lyricist who has written more than 2000 songs, offering valuable insights into the art of lyric writing and its impact on storytelling.
Mr. Viveka shared his creative process, the inspiration behind his lyrics, and the importance of personal experiences in songwriting. He also explained the deeper meanings behind some of his most familiar lyrics, helping students understand the nuances of effective lyric composition. The event was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Convenor Dr. V. Prabakaran, Head/ Media Studies, Co-Convenor Ms. P. Yuvarani, Programme Coordinator/ Viscom, and Staff Coordinator Mr. Vigneshwaran N, Asst. Prof/ Viscom provides students with a memorable and enriching learning experience.
