The event began with highlighting the Audio Visual, the glimpse of the History of Quest and Work of Quest 25

An inspiring Nelson Mandela’s quote “It’s better to lead behind” setting the stage for a day of reflection and learning, all the speeches carried the strong motive of highlighting the power of Business leadership.

Dr. R. Arulmoli, Head of the MBA Department, initiated the program with the welcome address and emphasized the significance of visionary academicians and strong leadership in shaping the future. He warmly welcomed the esteemed chief guests and enriched the session by highlighting their remarkable achievements.

The respected guests are:

Followed by the welcome Adress, Dr. Ramanathan, the event convener, took the stage to elaborate on the mission and vision of QUEST 2025. He highlighted QUEST as the flagship event of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus, emphasizing its legacy and growing significance. Reflecting on its inception in 2009, he explained the deeper meaning behind the name “QUEST”, derived from the idea of a “search for something greater”—a pursuit of knowledge, excellence, and innovation. He further outlined the various engaging and competitive events that form the core of the management meet, including Best Manager, Business Quiz, IPL Auction, Corporate Walk, Brain & Treasure Hunt, and more, each designed to challenge participants and foster essential managerial skills.

Then the felicitation address was delivered by our esteemed alumna, Ms. P. V. Preethi, who took the audience on her inspiring journey through her academic and professional experiences. She began by reflecting on her educational journey at SRM, sharing how the knowledge and skills she gained played a pivotal role in shaping her career. She also recounted the remarkable moment of securing her first job placement during her final semester, offering valuable insights and motivation to aspiring students.

Ms. Preethi went on to discuss her professional journey at TCS, where she plays a key role in managing operations for a UK-based media company. She shared her experiences, challenges, and the strategies she employs to navigate the corporate world successfully. However, she didn’t stop there—she continued to inspire the audience by unveiling her entrepreneurial venture. Alongside her full-time job, she has ventured into the food industry, running a cafeteria business, showcasing her ability to balance both professional and entrepreneurial ambitions. Her journey served as a testament to hard work, perseverance, and the pursuit of passion, leaving the audience motivated and encouraged to dream beyond conventional boundaries.

Followed by our alumni’s address, Mr. Jayaraman, representing Business Standard, took the stage to emphasize the importance of continuous learning in today’s dynamic business landscape. He introduced the B-Smart App, a recent initiative by Business Standard, designed to provide industry insights and business knowledge to professionals and students alike.

Mr. Jayaraman then shed light on a recent case study competition conducted by the organization, underscoring its focus on innovation, problem-solving, and critical thinking. He also highlighted a significant statistic—46% of India’s population is currently unemployed—stressing the urgent need for skill development and industry readiness among graduates. Amidst these discussions, he proudly acknowledged our institution’s remarkable achievement of winning the case study competition for three consecutive years, marking a historic hat-trick victory.

In honor of Business Standard’s 50th anniversary, Mr. Jayaraman concluded his address by presenting a memento to our esteemed Dean, Dr. C Sundar, as a token of appreciation and recognition for the institution’s contributions to academic excellence.

Next, our esteemed Dean, Dr. C Sundar, took the stage and delivered an inspiring and admirable speech. He began by honoring and expressing gratitude to the distinguished guests, acknowledging their valuable presence and contributions. He then shifted his focus to the importance of developing future business leaders, emphasizing the need for innovation, adaptability, and strategic thinking in today’s competitive world.

Our esteemed Dean took a moment to appreciate the dedicated students who worked tirelessly to make QUEST 2025 a grand success, recognizing their hard work, commitment, and teamwork. As he reflected on the journey of QUEST from its inception in 2009 to 2011, the event witnessed a special moment—our chief guest, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, honored Dr. Prakash, Mrs. Vijayarani, Mrs. Priya, and Dr. Ramanathan for their outstanding contributions to the success of QUEST 2025.

Resuming his speech, our Dean elaborated on NLMM (National Level Management Meet) as a transformative co-learning space, fostering collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and experiential learning. He concluded by appreciating the student community for their enthusiasm and participation, before extending a warm welcome to all 224 participants from various colleges, setting the stage for an enriching and engaging event.

The Guest of Honour, Mr. Moses Dharma Balan, captivated the audience with his remarkable 10-year journey as an entrepreneur. He began by sharing the inspiring story behind the launch of Halwakadai.com, a venture that gained significant recognition, even earning a feature in The Hindu newspaper.

Driven by his commitment to ethical business practices, Mr. Balan spoke about his next entrepreneurial venture—Aaladipattiyan Karupatti Coffee, which he established in Guduvanchery, Chennai. He explained how his vision was not just to create a business but to introduce a sustainable and authentic coffee culture, making Karupatti Coffee (palm jaggery coffee) a well-known brand in the city. Recognizing the potential for scalability, he later expanded his business by opening multiple outlets, solidifying his presence in the market. He also proudly highlighted that he was the first entrepreneur to introduce Karupatti Coffee in Chennai, setting a trend for healthier, traditional alternatives to mainstream beverages. He concluded his speech with valuable insights on business planning and entrepreneurship, emphasizing the importance of innovation, perseverance, and ethical business growth in today’s competitive market.

Following the Guest of Honour’s address, our Chief Guest Dr. Rajesh Kumar delivered an insightful speech on leadership, engaging the audience with the question, How does the future of management look like? He then acknowledged the enthusiasm of the participants and shared perspectives on the evolving role of management.

Inspired by Mr. Moses Dharma Balan’s speech, he discussed the preparation, health benefits, and immunity-boosting properties of Karupatti Coffee. Concluding his address, he emphasized the importance of socially responsible leadership, urging future leaders to act with integrity, sustainability, and a commitment to society.

Following this, Mr. Rajesh Kumar addressed the gathering, sharing insights on Vatham, Pitham, and Kapham, the three fundamental energies in Ayurveda, and the importance of Ayurvedic treatments in maintaining overall well-being. He then took a moment to honor the university toppers and recognize students who secured prestigious placements. Special appreciation was given to Subhashree for securing a 15 LPA package, along with Akshaya Priya and four other students who earned internships at Prodapt Solutions, celebrating their outstanding achievements.

Finally, Our Student President Muneesh delivered the Vote of Thanks, expressing heartfelt gratitude to all the faculty members and esteemed guests for their invaluable contributions and presence. He acknowledged their support in making the event a grand success and extended appreciation to everyone who played a role in the seamless execution of QUEST 2025.
