Directors’ Cut: A Student Film Forum – Skill Development Program & Film Screening
The Department of English and Other Foreign Languages, Faculty of Science & Humanities, SRM IST, Ramapuram, successfully hosted the Directors’ Cut: A Student Film Forum as part of the 13th Chennai International Documentary and Short Film Festival on February 27, 2025.
Organized by the Theatre Club and Eco Club in collaboration with Marupakkam (Film Collective), the event provided an enriching platform for students to engage in insightful discussions on filmmaking, storytelling, and cinematic expression. The screening featured thought-provoking documentaries and short-films, followed by interactive sessions with experts, encouraging critical analysis and creative exploration.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of the students, film enthusiasts, film makers and speakers making this forum a dynamic and inspiring experience.
