The Department of English and Other Foreign Languages, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, successfully organized an impactful outreach program titled “Empowering Young Minds: A Day of Learning and Joy” on 22nd March 2025 at the Ramamoorthy Education and Rehabilitation Trust, Ramapuram, Chennai. This initiative, led by the Social Responsibility Club (EFL), aimed to provide educational and emotional support to orphaned children while promoting creativity, health awareness, and personal development.
Key Highlights:
Engagement with Children: Volunteers actively interacted with the children, assisting them in various educational activities and creating a nurturing and supportive environment.Interactive Sessions: The program included dynamic sessions such as storytelling and a workshop on “Learning English is Easy,” which encouraged self-expression and sparked the children’s creativity. Awareness Campaign: An informative session focused on hygiene, nutrition, and overall well-being, promoting the importance of a healthy lifestyle among the children.Social Responsibility: The event successfully instilled a sense of social responsibility within the club members, strengthening their commitment to community service and enhancing engagement with local initiatives.
