Faculty of Management, SRM Institute of Science and Technology , Ramapiram and Urbaser Summit & Tamil Nadu Pollution Control Board (TNPCB) iointly Organizes “The Global Recycling Day Outreach Program – Beach Cleanup” on 22/03/2025.
This event aims to raise awareness about the importance of recycling, waste management, and environmental protection.
- The event seeks to involve students of various Colleges in actively participating in beach cleanup activities to collect the waste to combat plastic pollution, educate the community on sustainable practices, and promote a cleaner and healthier environment.
- Our students of SRMIST FOM collected around 80 kgs of waste in and around the beach environment .
- This initiative brings together students, faculty, and environmental organizations to clean up Besant Nagar beach ,addressing the growing concerns of plastic waste and its harmful effects on marine ecosystems.
- The program encourages students to take part in hands-on environmental conservation, educating them about the significance of recycling and responsible waste management.
- By actively participating in the beach cleanup, students contribute to reducing plastic pollution and gain valuable insights into sustainable practices that they can apply in their daily lives.
The event not only helps clean the environment but also fosters a sense of social responsibility and environmental awareness among the next generation of business leaders.
