Each day of the workshop began with a ceremonial welcome of the chief guests by either the programme coordinator, teachers of Accounting and Finance, or the students of Accounting and Finance, showcasing the department’s hospitality and enthusiasm.

Each day of the workshop commenced with a reverent rendition of the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, a traditional Tamil hymn, setting a cultural and reverential tone for the proceedings.

  • Day 1: Microsoft Excel Basics: Dr. Sathish Kumar introduced the fundamentals of Microsoft Excel, covering essential components such as rows, columns, cells, and basic formulas like SUM, AVERAGE, and COUNT. Participants gained a solid understanding of Excel’s interface and basic functionality.
  • Day 2: Excel Advanced Topics: Dr. Sathish Kumar built on the previous day’s foundation, covering advanced Excel topics such as pivot tables, lookup functions, and data visualization. Participants learned how to analyze and present complex data using Excel’s powerful tools.
  • Day 3: AI-Powered Tools and Excel: Ms. B. Maidhili explored the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with Microsoft Excel, discussing AI-powered tools that enhance learning, research, and content creation. She also covered advanced Excel topics like pivot tables, lookup functions, and formatting.
  • Day 4: AI in Commerce and Education: B. Maidhili delved deeper into the role of AI in commerce, education, and research, highlighting its potential to enhance productivity, innovation, and decision-making. Participants gained insights into the applications and implications of AI in various fields.
  • Day 5: Tally and Accounting: Sathish Kumar delivered a comprehensive session on Tally, a popular accounting software. He covered the fundamentals of Tally, including installation, company creation, and basic accounting operations. Participants learned how to use Tally for financial reporting, ratio analysis, and other accounting tasks.
  • Day 6: Advanced Excel Features: Ms. D. Ramya delivered an informative session on advanced Excel features, including Mail Merge, Cell Reference, Linking Sheets, Conditional Formatting, Goal Seek, and Flash Fill.
