SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:
The Department of Fashion Designing, Faculty of Science and Humanities at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai Ramapuram, in association with the Socio-Activity Club, organized a Thrift Gifting event for the institution’s support staff on March 26, 2025. The event, held at the Department of Fashion Designing, aimed to appreciate the contributions of support staff by gifting them pre-loved but valuable items. The initiative encouraged sustainability and gratitude within the campus community.

The event was aligned with multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). By promoting thrift gifting, participants contributed to reducing waste while fostering a culture of social responsibility and resourcefulness.
