SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:
The Department of Fashion Designing, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai – Ramapuram campus, successfully organized an intra-departmental event titled “Logo Development” on 4th July 2025. The competition aimed to foster branding awareness, visual identity creation, and creative thinking among fashion design students.
Themed around brand-building and storytelling, the event encouraged participants to go beyond aesthetics and explore the core values, mission, and narrative of the Fashion Designing department. Students were guided to Set Values, Aim High, Fix Goals, Design Logos, and Develop their Brand Story reflecting a structured yet creative approach to visual identity.
Highlights:
- Students created original logos rooted in the identity and aspirations of the Fashion Designing department.
- Each team or individual participant was encouraged to define a mission, vision, and tagline to support their logo design.
- The entries were evaluated based on creativity, design clarity, conceptual depth, relevance to the department, and storytelling potential.
- The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across all batches, promoting collaboration, peer learning, and creative exploration.
- The judging panel consisted of faculty experts who provided insightful feedback, encouraging students to think like real-world design professionals.
