The School of Media Studies, Department of Visual Communication, organized an Alumni Interaction session for first-year students on 11th July 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Room 601, 6th Floor, PG Dental Block, SRMIST, Ramapuram.
Mr. Shravan Kumar (Batch 2018–2021), Video Producer at The FEDERAL, shared his insights into college and department experiences, including projects he worked on during his college days. He discussed the challenges involved in these projects and the professional outputs achieved. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of internships, networking, and building a strong portfolio, offering practical advice to help students navigate the media industry. The session provided valuable guidance and inspiration for the students’ academic and professional journeys. It was effectively coordinated by Convenor Dr. V. Prabakaran (Head, Media Studies) and Co-Convenor Ms. P. Yuvarani (Programme Coordinator, Viscom).
