The Faculty of Science and Humanities, School of Media Studies, Department of Visual Communication and Film Technology, SRMIST, Ramapuram, organized a Master Class titled “Script to Screen” on 31st July 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Hitech Hall I. The event was conducted by the Rectangle–A Viscom Film Club, a part of the Department of Visual Communication. The session featured renowned film director Mr. Sri Ganesh graced the event as the resource person. He shared in detail his filmmaking journey, with exclusive behind-the-scenes insights from 3BHK, covering various creative and technical aspects of the production process. His talk elaborated on casting, characterization, pacing, musical choices, scriptwriting approaches, and pre-production planning. Students actively participated in an engaging interactive session, gaining valuable inputs into the nuances of film direction and storytelling. The event was coordinated under the guidance of Dr. V. Prabakaran (Head, Media Studies), Co-Convenor Ms. P. Yuvarani (Programme Coordinator, Viscom) and Staff Coordinator Ms. B. K. Haripriya, {Asst. Professor , Viscom).
