SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:

The Drug Awareness and Women Safety Program for I BCA A, B & Gen AI students was inaugurated by Dr. S. Uma Shankari, HOD, BCA. The session highlighted discipline, drug awareness, and women’s safety measures through insights from the college counselor and eminent speakers.

Objective

The program aimed to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug usage and to emphasize the importance of discipline, safety, and adherence to college rules and regulations.

Program Highlights

  • Counsellor’s Session:
    • Addressed students about discipline, dress code, and college rules.
    • Encouraged both boys and girls to maintain proper conduct in campus.
    • Guided students to approach the counsellor in case of hurdles, academic difficulties, or personal issues.
    • Motivated students to seek help in subjects they find difficult.
  • Drug Awareness Session:
    • R Ganeshmoorthi, and Mr. P Ramesh and Mr. D. Jocil, delivered insightful talks on drug abuse.
    • Explained the physical, mental, and social consequences of drug usage.
    • Highlighted preventive measures and ways to lead a healthy lifestyle.
    • Stressed the importance of peer support and family guidance in avoiding drug addiction.
    • Finally the pledge has taken Say no to Drug and yes to life.

Women Safety

Dr S Uma shankari. Dr Umarani and Dr T S Suganya delivered talk about women safety and highlighted the following

  1. Insisted that self-discipline is the key to overcome all problems in life.
  2. Motivated students to develop time management and self-control habits.
  3. Explained that inner strength and discipline build confidence and success.
  4. Emphasized that women are the treasure of society and should be respected.
  5. Highlighted the need for safety, dignity, and empowerment of women.
  6. Encouraged students to value and protect women in family and community
