BRIEF PROFILE OF THE SPEAKER :
Prof. Dhollan Krishnamoorthi, a National Awardee aged 63, holds a BE from PSG Tech and an MBA from TNAU with distinction. He is Professor and Director at Providence College for Women, Coonoor, with over 15 years of corporate experience, 10 years as an entrepreneur, and 15 years as a consultant to agriculture-based companies including World Bank projects. A dedicated environmental activist for over 40 years, he has delivered lectures at leading international universities and has travelled widely for training and consultancy. He is the recipient of the INCID National Award (2003) and has served on several key committees on agriculture and water management.
SUMMARY OF THE EVENT :
- The event began with the solemn “Tamil Thai Vazhthu”, paying respect to Tamil heritage.
- Welcome Address was delivered by Dr. V. Deepa, Head of the Department of B.Com (Accounting & Finance), who warmly welcomed the gathering and introduced the purpose of the investiture.
- Guest Introduction was presented, highlighting the achievements of the Resource Person – Mr. D. Krishnamoorthy, B.E., M.B.A, Consultant and Entrepreneur, OHM Farm, Nilgiris.
- Guest Speech: Mr. Krishnamoorthy delivered an insightful and inspiring address on leadership, entrepreneurship, and responsibility, motivating the students to embrace their roles with dedication.
- Badge Distribution Ceremony followed, where the newly selected UG and PG student leaders of B.Com (A&F) were honored with badges symbolizing their official positions and responsibilities.
- The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem, marking a successful and memorable leadership initiation.
