SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:

On 2nd September 2025, the Department of Commerce, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, achieved a significant academic milestone by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India Cements Investment Services Ltd.

The MoU was formally signed in the presence of:

  • Dr R Shiva Kumar – Chairman, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, Chennai and Trichy Campuses
  • Mr. Suresh Krishnamoorthy, Director and CEO, India Cements Investment Services Ltd.
  • Mr. Arun Kumar, Head – Customer Care, India Cements Investment Services Ltd.

This collaboration marks a new chapter in fostering industry–academia linkages, aimed at providing students with greater exposure to practical insights in the field of commerce, finance, and investment services. The partnership is expected to facilitate knowledge sharing, guest lectures, internships, and collaborative initiatives that will bridge the gap between academic learning and industry practices.

The Department of Commerce expressed its commitment to strengthening student employability and skill development through this association, thereby aligning academic goals with the dynamic needs of the financial services sector.
