SUMMARY OF THE EVENT

The Health Club of Department of Computer Science and Applications (Data Science) organized an Guest Lecture titled “Nutritious Food For All: From Children To Elderly’ on 1st September 2025.

The objective of the program was to educate college students about the importance of nutritious food in maintaining physical health, enhancing mental focus, and building lifelong healthy eating habits, especially during the demanding college years.

The event began with an interactive presentation of highlighting the key nutrients necessary for the body and mind, emphasizing balanced diets that include whole grains, lean proteins, fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats. The Guest Speaker discussed common challenges students face, such as busy schedules, budget constraints, and reliance on fast food, and offered practical tips for making healthier food choices on a college budget.

This event successfully raised awareness among students about the critical role of nutrition in academic performance and overall health. Feedback indicated that students found the information relevant and expressed motivation to make healthier food choices despite their busy schedules. Many requested follow-up sessions focusing on personalized diet planning and stress management through nutrition.

OUTCOMES OF THE PROGRAM:

SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being emphasizes ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages. Nutritious food forms the very foundation of physical and mental health, especially for young people like us who are shaping the future.

SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation, which reminds us that good nutrition is incomplete without safe drinking water and proper hygiene. Access to clean water not only prevents diseases but also enables the body to properly absorb and utilize nutrients from the food we eat
