SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:

The Faculty of Management, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram organized an Alumni Guest Talk on 1st August 2025 in Hall No: 202, PG Block from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

The session was delivered by Ms. Abirami, Assistant Manager at Federal Bank and a distinguished alumna of the MBA Batch 2020–2022.

The talk titled “Confidence, Consistency & Career: Thriving in the Banking Sector” inspired students to build strong foundations for a successful career in banking. Ms. Abirami shared her motivating journey from being an MBA student at SRM IST to becoming a successful professional in the competitive banking industry.

She highlighted the importance of confidence and consistency as cornerstones of sustained growth in the banking sector. She shared real-world challenges, practical career insights, and strategies to stay motivated and resilient in demanding financial environments.

Key aspects discussed included:

  • Importance of continuous learning and adaptability.
  • Building strong interpersonal skills for career success.
  • Navigating early career challenges and seizing opportunities.
  • Real-life examples of handling workplace situations in banking.

The session was highly interactive, with students asking questions about career paths, required skills, and industry expectations. Many students felt inspired to consider banking as a rewarding and dynamic career option.

The talk also strengthened the bond between current students and alumni, offering a valuable networking opportunity.
