BRIEF PROFILE OF THE SPEAKER:

Mr. M. Raghul currently work as an Associate Software Quality Engineer at Red Hat, focusing on MLOps, Cloud, and Generative AI. I began my journey with an internship at EY as a Data Analyst, followed by a role at Red Hat where I gained hands-on experience in DevOps and Cloud-Native technologies before transitioning into my current role. I collaborate with industry leaders like NVIDIA, AMD, Meta, and Google while actively contributing to the open-source ecosystem. Beyond my professional work, I founded CareerPod, a community of 600+ students aimed at fostering technical awareness and career guidance, mentoring learners across India, Sri Lanka, and Ireland. Passionate about simplifying technology, I also build AI tools and consult for startups, helping them adopt innovative solutions.

SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:

  • The Mobifest club of the Department of Computer Science, organized a Workshop on “Kickstart Your DevOps Journey: From Code to Cloud” on 26th September 2025.
  • The workshop commenced with a warm welcome address by Ms. Akrutha. The workshop was formally inaugurated by Dr. Angline Christobel Y, Head of the Department, who emphasized the department’s initiatives in equipping students with the latest technological trends.
  • This introduction of the chief guest delivered by, Ms. S. Mahalakshmi, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science.
  • The highlight of the event was the Chief Guest Address delivered by Mr. Raghul, who shared valuable insights on DevOps and its role in bridging the gap between code and cloud deployment. His session inspired students to explore DevOps as a career path and provided practical awareness of how industries leverage DevOps to enhance productivity and deployment efficiency.
  • After the engaging and interactive session, the event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ms.YuvaShree, expressing gratitude to the resource person, organizers, and all participants for their valuable contributions.

This workshop proved to be a motivating and enlightening experience for the students, encouraging them to take confident steps toward exploring DevOps practices, cloud technologies, and their applications in real-world industry scenarios.

The workshop “KickStart Your DevOps Journey: From Code to Cloud” helped Computer Science students gain a comprehensive understanding of the DevOps lifecycle, from coding to cloud deployment. It enhanced their awareness of modern development practices, automation tools, and cloud infrastructure. Overall, it sparked student interest in DevOps, strengthened technical proficiency, and promoted a more industry-ready, innovative mindset among participants.
