SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:

The Department of Commerce, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Ramapuram Campus, organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “Recent Amendments in Indian Income Tax and Their Implications.”

The lecture was delivered by Mr. Haresh Ramaselvakumar, an alumnus of the 2017–2020 batch and currently serving as an Internal Auditor at Hinduja Leyland Finance.

The session was held on 30th September 2025 (Tuesday) from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at East Block, Room No. 209.

The speaker provided valuable insights into the latest changes in Indian income tax laws and explained their practical implications for businesses and individuals. The session enhanced participants’ understanding of contemporary tax practices and encouraged interactive discussions.

The event was well received by the students and faculty, offering them an opportunity to bridge academic learning with real-world tax regulations.

Participants learned that compliance and ethical financial practices not only strengthen institutions but also contribute to the creation of inclusive, resilient, and well-resourced cities and communities.
