Dr.S.Lakshmi

Lakshmi S is an Assistant Professor at SRM IST, Ramapuram, Chennai. Having 21 years of teaching experience both in Finance and Accounts with extensive expertise in financial analysis, corporate finance, accounting standards and Investment strategies.

With numerous research articles published in reputed Scopus-indexed journals, Dr. S.Lakshmi has demonstrated a strong research aptitude and a deep understanding of financial markets and accounting practices. His/her publications predominantly focus on contemporary issues in finance, corporate governance, financial performance analysis, and behavioral finance.

Dr.S.Lakshmi is an active participant in the academic community, having presented papers at national and international conferences, symposiums, and workshops. His/her contributions at these forums reflect ongoing research initiatives and a keen interest in keeping up with industry trends and policy implications.

SUMMARY OF THE EVENT:

Workshop on “Tally Certification Course”

Department of MBA, SRM Institute of Science and Technology had organised two days workshop on Tally Certification course from 08th April 2025 to 09th April 2025 for 11th and 12th standard students. The workshop aimed to introduce students to the basics of accounting software Tally, providing them with hands on experience and knowledge that would help them to understand its practical applications in the field of accounting and finance. The session served as a foundation for the Tally Certification course, which will be conducted over one more day.

The primary objectives of this seminar were to:

  • Familiarizing participants with Tally’s features and functionality.
  • Teaching how to maintain books of accounts, create Ledger, Voucher, Invoice, and Ledger reports.

Ultimately, the workshop aims to enhance employability skills and financial literacy, empowering participants to efficiently handle accounts and financial data in a computerized environment.
