EVENT HIGHLIGHT
The Department of English & Other Foreign Languages successfully organized an enriching Educational Trip cum Guest Lecture for the B.A. English students on 8th October 2025 at Anna University, Chennai. As part of the academic initiative, the students visited the Department of English, where they were warmly welcomed by the faculty members. The visit provided an excellent opportunity for students to gain insights into academic culture, interdisciplinary research, and language learning methodologies.
During the session, the distinguished faculty members Dr. T. Shrimathy Venkatalakshmi (Professor & Head), Dr. P.R.Sujatha Priya Dharshini (Assistant Professor), Dr. Veena Sevam (Assistant Professor), and Dr.M.S. Geetanjali (Assistant Professor) /Department of English, Anna University, Chennai, addressed the students and delivered thought-provoking talks on various aspects of English studies, emphasizing “The Nuances of Language Learning.” Their insightful discussions inspired students to explore advanced academic perspectives and enhanced their understanding of linguistic and literary scholarship.
The students also had the opportunity to explore the Department Library, where they familiarized themselves with a rich collection of academic resources, research materials, and literary texts. The visit offered an immersive learning experience that complemented their classroom knowledge with real-world academic exposure. The initiative successfully met its objective of promoting experiential learning, fostering inter-institutional collaboration, and motivating students to pursue excellence in English language and literary studies.
