Event Overview:
The Department of English & Other Foreign Languages, through The Language Elites – The Quiz Club & Commemorative Club, organised a quiz competition titled “Gandhi’s Teachings: A Knowledge Celebration.” The event commemorated the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and aimed to educate and engage FSH students in exploring his values, principles and contributions. It was held on 06.10.2025 at Block V, Room 401 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM.
Session Highlights:
- Interactive quiz rounds focused on Gandhi’s philosophy, life events, and national contributions.
- Participation from students across FSH departments promoting healthy intellectual competition.
- Thought-provoking questions that encouraged reflection on nonviolence, truth, equality, and civic responsibility.
- Visual and verbal elements honouring Gandhi’s legacy and birth anniversary spirit.
Outcome:
The event resulted in a meaningful and engaging learning experience for the participants. Students gained a deeper understanding of Mahatma Gandhi’s principles and their relevance in contemporary society. The quiz encouraged critical thinking, teamwork and active participation, fostering a sense of respect for national values and history. It also helped nurture intellectual curiosity and created an environment of healthy competition, leaving students more aware, inspired and motivated to reflect Gandhian ideals in their academic and personal lives.
