CONVOCATION 2025 – EVENT REPORT
The Convocation Ceremony 2025 of SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus, for the Faculty of Science and Humanities (FSH) and the Faculty of Management (FOM) was held on 16th November 2025 at the Open-Air Theatre (OAT). The event commenced with the academic procession, followed by Tamil Thaai Vaazhthu, the Welcome Address and the Presentation of the Annual Report was delivered by Dr.S.Thirumagan, Dean Faculty of Science and Humanities. The convocation was formally declared open, marking the beginning of a significant academic milestone for the graduating students.
The Faculty of Science and Humanities Convocation was graced by Dr. P. Sasikumar, ISRO Scientist, who delivered an inspiring address focusing on the importance of scientific temper, innovation, research ecosystems, and industry preparedness. His words motivated the graduands to embrace challenges with curiosity, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. For the Faculty of Management, Mr. K. Saravana Kumar, Consul General of Malaysia in Chennai, served as the Guest of Honour. In his address, he encouraged students to seize global opportunities with discipline and integrity while contributing meaningfully to society. His message highlighted the importance of character, resilience, and purpose-driven leadership in today’s evolving world.
The ceremony was presided over by Dr. R. Shivakumar, M.D., Chairman, SRM Group of Institutions, Chennai Ramapuram & Trichy, with Shri S. Niranjan, Co-Chairman, offering felicitations. Leadership teams from both faculties welcomed the dignitaries, appreciated the efforts of faculty and staff, and acknowledged the support of parents and stakeholders. The atmosphere reflected pride, achievement, and celebration as departments highlighted their accomplishments and recognized the graduating students for their hard work.
This year (Nov – 2025), SRMIST Ramapuram conferred degrees upon a total of 2,049 graduands across FSH and FOM. The University awarded degrees to 09 Ph.D. scholars (08 from FSH and 01 from FOM), 356 postgraduate students (146 from FSH and 210 from FOM), and 1683 undergraduate students (1508 from FSH and 175 from FOM). In total, 1663 graduands from FSH and 386 from FOM received their degrees, marking the successful completion of their academic journey. The event concluded with gratitude expressed toward all contributors and reaffirmed SRMIST Ramapuram’s commitment to academic excellence, holistic development, and shaping future-ready graduates.
