Event Overview

The Faculty of Management, Department of Business Administration, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus, under the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell), organized the Entrepreneurship Research Symposia – International ED Summit 2025 on 24th October 2025.

The summit aimed to provide a dynamic platform for students to gain insights into the evolving landscape of entrepreneurship through expert sessions led by successful business leaders and alumni entrepreneurs.

Inaugural Ceremony (10:00 AM  10:30 AM)

The summit commenced with Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by the lighting of the kuthu vilakku, symbolizing the light of knowledge and innovation.

The Welcome Address set the stage for the event, emphasizing the importance of entrepreneurship education and its alignment with global sustainable development goals.

The Head of the Department, Dr. T. Rekha Kiran Kumar, highlighted the objective of the summit

— to inspire young entrepreneurs to think beyond boundaries and develop sustainable, innovative business ideas.

Our Most Respected Dean Sir, Dr. Praveen Kumar, Dean faculty of management, in his figure of speech injected and motivated to break the middle-class mindset and to drive individual students to pursue self-employment, freelance work and entrepreneurship.

Session Highlights

Session 1  Women Entrepreneurship (10:30 AM  11:00 AM) Chief Guest: Dr. Padmaja Priyadarshini

Managing Director, M/s Home Plan Guru Civil Consultants Pvt. Ltd., Chennai

Dr. Padmaja shared her journey as a woman entrepreneur and discussed the challenges and opportunities faced by women in business. She encouraged students to pursue leadership roles with confidence and determination.

Session 2  Export–Import Entrepreneurship (11:00 AM  12 Noon) Special Guest: Ms. Rennifer Naciyar

Founder, Seiko Exim – Branches in Singapore & Malaysia

Ms. Rennifer provided valuable insights into global trade operations, documentation, and export strategies. She highlighted how young entrepreneurs can tap into international markets through innovative ideas and global networking.

Session 3  Sustainability Entrepreneurship followed with BBA students presented their papers through research case analysis and Business plan submission.

Session 4  Start-Up Entrepreneurship (2:00 PM  2:30 PM) Honored Guest: Ms. Keshika Manohar

Founder, KS Kitchen and Cloud Kitchen Studio

Ms. Keshika shared her entrepreneurial journey, illustrating how creative culinary ideas can evolve into successful business models. She motivated students to explore their passions and turn them into scalable enterprises.

Session 5  Alumni Entrepreneurship (2:30 PM  3:00 PM) Honored Guest: Mr. Avinash

Managing Director, Anand Badu Construction, Chennai

(BBA Alumni Batch 2020–2023)

Mr. Avinash reflected on his journey from a student entrepreneur to a managing director. His session inspired participants by showing how dedication, innovation, and practical learning can transform ideas into business realities.

Participation & Outcomes

The International ED Summit 2025 served as an inspiring experience for all attendees. Students engaged actively in discussions, gaining exposure to multiple entrepreneurial domains — from start- ups and sustainability to export and women-led ventures.

The event successfully connected academic learning with real-world business insights, motivating young entrepreneurs to think innovatively and globally.

Conclusion

The Entrepreneurship Research Symposia – International ED Summit 2025 was a resounding success, fulfilling its mission to nurture entrepreneurial talent among students.

The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the Dean, HOD, guest speakers, faculty members, and student coordinators for their dedication in organizing such an impactful event.

The summit came to a close with the National Anthem, marking the end of an enriching and empowering day.
