Report on Community Outreach Programme

The Department of Visual Communication, School of Media Studies, SRM IST, Ramapuram, organized a Community Outreach Programme – Drawing Workshop at Mithra Home for Special Children, Anna Nagar, on 28th August 2025 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The event aimed to encourage creativity and provide a joyful learning experience for the children.

 

During the workshop, our students and staff guided the special children in exploring drawing skills and encouraged them to create their own artworks. The session not only nurtured their artistic abilities but also brought smiles and confidence to the participants, making the programme a heartwarming and meaningful experience.The programme was convened by Dr. V. Prabakaran {Head, Media Studies}, with Ms. P. Yuvarani {Programme Coordinator of Visual Communication} as Co-Convenor. The staff coordinators for the event were Ms. J. Jenifer, Mr. D.Saravanan , and Mr. V. Rajagopal, {Assistant Professors, Department of Visual Communication} along with the student volunteers, ensured the success of this meaningful outreach activity.
