Event Highlights

  • The Department of Language, Culture & Society, Faculty of Science and Humanities, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai Ramapuram, successfully organized an Alumni Interaction Programme titled “Career Pathways to Progress” on 30th January 2026 from 11.00 AM to 12.30 PM at S-Block, B-4.
  • The programme featured two distinguished alumnae as Resource Persons:
    Ms. H. Thaslima, Soft Skill Trainer, Chennai Institute of Technology, Chennai, and
    Ms. Gloria Evangeline Dvaz, Mid Grade Teacher, St. Dominic’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Chennai.
  • The resource persons shared valuable insights into their professional journeys, highlighting diverse career opportunities available for graduates in English, including education, training, communication, and allied fields.
  • The speakers emphasized the importance of skill development, adaptability, communication proficiency, and continuous learning in shaping successful career pathways. Their real-life experiences helped students understand how academic learning can be effectively translated into professional growth.
  • The interaction session was highly engaging, with students actively participating in discussions and seeking guidance on career planning, higher education options, and employability skills.
  • The programme served as a motivating platform for students to connect with alumni, gain clarity on career prospects, and align their academic pursuits with future professional goals.
