“Election Anthem: RISE & VOTE – A Music Video Release Ceremony”

The School of Media Studies at SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Ramapuram, Faculty of Science & Humanities ( A Place for Transformation ) conducted an “Election Anthem: RISE & VOTE – A Music Video Release Ceremony” on 13.04.2024 at 11:30 AM at Gallery Hall 1, Block V. The Chief Guest was Dr. J. RadhaKrishnan IAS ( Additional Chief Secretary & Commissioner, Greater Chennai Corporation ).
The Dignitaries: The Chief Guest – Dr. J. RadhaKrishnan IAS, Associate Director of SRM IST Ramapuram – Dr. K. V. Narayanan, Dean – Maj. Dr. M Venkatramanan, VP Academic – Dr. V Saravanan, Head of Media Studies – Dr. V Prabakaran, Press, Media Channels, The Greater Chennai Corporation Officials were heartily welcomed. The event commenced with the Tamizh Thai Vaazhthu and was followed by the lighting of the kuthu vilakku by the dignitaries. The Head of the Department delivered the welcome address and later presented a memento to the chief guest as a token of love and respect. This was followed by felicitation by the Dean. Next, the Chief Guest addressed the gathering and was interviewed, where he shared the importance of rising awareness to vote, following which he inaugurated the poster of the music video. The “Rise and Vote” Music video was played and the cast and crew received great appreciation from everyone. The whole event was covered by media channels and press, and the cast & crew member students too were interviewed on the importance of voting. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms. P. Yuvarani ( Programme Coordinator, Viscom ) and the programme was concluded with the national anthem.
The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Convenor – Dr. V. Prabakaran ( Head, Media Studies ), Co – Convenor – Ms. P. Yuvarani ( Programme Coordinator, Viscom ), Staff Coordinators – Mr. D. Saravanan ( Asst. Prof., Viscom ) & Ms. Sindhuja Sivaji ( Asst. Prof., Viscom ) and the Student Coordinators – Sri Harish, II Year & Sarath, II Year.
